Born in Yunlin, Taiwan in 2000, Weizhong Zhang is an independent type and graphic designer based in Taipei. His practice centers on bilingual typography, exploring the relationship between Latin and Hanzi scripts. He works with studios and clients to create custom typefaces, logotypes, and lettering projects.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Design degree from NTUST. During university he became interested in type design, and began creating typefaces for personal projects. After graduating in 2022, he worked at several studios including Local Remote and HOUTH as a graphic designer, focusing on brand design projects. He contributed to major projects such as the Taiwan Design Expo and the rebrand of Taiwan Space Agency, gaining valuable experience in the field. In 2025, he began working independently.

In 2025, two typefaces he developed, TASA Explorer and TASA Orbiter, were fortunate to be added in the Google Fonts library.
